MEDITATION - an introduction

"Meditation is a discourse intended to express its author's reflections".

 

The meditations I offer are created to guide you in contemplation, to invite stillness and provide opportunity for innate healing, 

 

There is no right or wrong way to surrender to being guided in this way, simply allow yourself to give in to the experience, to journey wherever you most need to.

As you experience being guided through visualisation, into meditation, contemplation and stillness, you will discover unexpected inner promptings and enjoy an increasing awareness of and connection to self.

Breathing Space Home

To be at our best from one week to the next – we all need some Breathing Space...

... to support you in the busyness of everyday life, here is your opportunity to enjoy stillness of mind and slowness of breath, serenity available to you within your heart space along with the soothing softness of my voice.

All of this in the delicious comfort of your own home, at a time to suit you.

 

Meditation involves training your attention and awareness to achieve a calm and stable state of mind.

Guided visualization comprises of guiding imagery inwards to work at a subconscious level.

​

The combination of both can increase an inner feeling of peace, provide clarity, allow the innate creator to show you what your intellect is not able to access.

​

Vocal tone provides subtle reassurance, guiding you inwardly to awareness, acceptance and allowing. It is designed to be soothing and relaxing, to give your active mind the opportunity to practice being quiet, and to inhale more slowly and deeply to reset your nervous system.

​

Silence provides space to invite reflection and contemplation if desired or to enjoy some moments of nothing, of emptiness, where you can be awake in conscious stillness and quiet withing the mind and the body. 

​

Finally, it’s where you give yourself permission to close the door on the world and hang up the Do Not Disturb sign!

​

In case you are not familiar with chakra energy, they are thought of as a spinning vortex of light emanating from the body or absorbing Universal Life Force energy. The Western interpretation can be quite different from the original Sanskrit meaning of the word wheel, but for simplicity having an understanding of chakra energy (there are 7 main wheels of energy through the body, as well as many minor chakras) can help us to restore and maintain balance.
